What is public on a ball page

The ball's code and nickname, its owner's first name and last initial, their home course if they added one, and each find: date, course or town, an approximate position (to about a kilometre), the finder's first name and last initial, and photos only if the finder chose to share them.

What is never public

Email addresses, exact locations, and photos a finder chose not to share. Emails are encrypted before they are stored.

Location

We only read your location when you log a find, and only with your permission. You can log a find without it; the ball just does not move on the map.

Emails we send

Owners get an email when their ball is found. Finders get an email if a ball they found turns up again, if they asked for it. Updates only if you joined the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Deleting your data

Contact us and we remove your name and email from every ball and find.
